Job Description

Purpose/Description

Uses HACCP guidelines for safe food handling to organize, calculate and produce the food to support the hospital patients, medical staff, employees, volunteers and visitors. 

Requirements

Education and Experience

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

 

 

Licensure/Certification:

Coos County Food Handlers Card

 

 

Experience:

Minimum 1-year experience at a medical center or 2 years’ experience in a related field preferred.

 

Knowledge
Customer and Personal Service -

Special Skills Required:

Knowledgeable of basic cooking skills

Physical Abilities:

· Bend/Twist/Stoop

· Lift up to 35 lbs. repeatedly

· Squatting

· Reaching at or below shoulder level

·  Pushing/Pulling up to 300 lbs. wheeled carts

· Prolonged Standing/Sitting/Walking

· Repetitive Motion

· Ability to handle temperature extremes
