About Coquille Valley Health

Coquille Valley Health (CVH) is a locally controlled independent nonprofit organization with the mission of providing patients in the Coos County Area access to exceptional medical care by creating places where providers want to practice.  CVH has experienced significant growth over the past 12 months and now encompasses two locations with 14 providers.  Specialties include Orthopedics, Pain Management, and Family Medicine.

Requirements

The role you'll contribute:

This position has administrative responsibility for designated practices. This position supports 12 providers and supervises staff in the clinic. The scope of this role includes practice management of a multispecialty outpatient ambulatory site. Management includes multiple specialties, and providers. The clinic operations will report directly to this role, and this role will have direct supervisory and managerial functions of the clinic's practice. This role will report to the CEO of the organization. Responsible for administration of business, financial and practice functions of the practice. Assists with the development and maintenance of physician and community relations to further the delivery of CVH’s healthcare services within the community. Serves as a patient advocate as well as a role model for ethical management behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the Mission and Values of Centura Health. This position requires the skills and abilities to build collaborative relationships with physicians and other members of the management team to fulfill their accountabilities.

  • Manage daily operations and overall performance of the practice to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates office and clinical staff, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
  • Develops and implements action plans to improve practice performance in areas such as employee turnover, patient access, and financial outcomes.
  • Participate in budgeting and financial analysis, providing input for future budgets and financial needs.
  • Monitors patient flow and ensures appropriate utilization of provider time and staff coverage.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and AHCA.
  • Addresses and resolves issues raised by physicians, employees, and patients.
  • Assists with developing and implementing market growth strategies for the practices.
  • Regularly visits assigned offices and meets with staff and physicians to discuss current issues and performance.
  • Analyzes monthly financial statements and performance reports, developing summaries of trends and key variances from budget.
  • Collaborates with regional medical directors to ensure practice operations and clinical teams work well together.
  • Communicates strategic information effectively to all relevant parties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree or RN Licensure
  • 5 years’ experience in a medical office environment, leadership experience preferred
  • Highly organized
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of accomplishing goals and objectives
  • Strong customer relations skills
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and communicate effectively with staff.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and have the skills to lead a small business.
  • Have a track record of meetings and exceeding key performance metrics.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
