Duties and Responsibilities-

Perform diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound exams on patients.

Assess and prepare patients for procedures.

Conduct testing under indirect supervision of cardiologist.

Operate stress testing equipment.
-
Administer medications as indicated.
-
Report pertinent findings.

Document according to established policies and procedures.

Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms (pharmacologic and exercise).

Explain and coach patient through testing procedure.
-
Recognize and respond to adverse actions, clinical problems, or emergent situations.

Actively participate in code team.

Verify order/exam information.

Assure that all information and images are correctly stored

Completing forms and entering data into the computer and electronic health record (EHR) *Cerner

Follow OSHA and CVH guidelines and polices for the prevention of the spread of infections and disasters including: maintaining a clean work environment, and using personal protective equipment and engineering controls.

Follow HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.

Demonstrate ongoing proficiency in clinical skills/knowledge specific to specialty area.

Clean tables and ultrasound equipment (probes, etc.)
