The role you'll contribute:
Coquille Valley Hospital is currently seeking a Retail Pharmacist for its 340B contract Community Pharmacy located in downtown Coquille. This position will play a crucial role in facilitating access to prescriptions for patients of Coquille Valley Hospital and Coquille Clinic. In addition to managing prescription medications, the Retail Pharmacist will be responsible for addressing customer inquiries regarding frequently used over-the-counter medications and durable medical supplies.

Oversees the acquisition and disbursement of drugs and medications.

Counsels' patients related to medication management.

Prepares and/ or checks medications prior to distribution in the dispensing cabinets and storage areas for bulk items.

Maintains inventory and records in accordance with all applicable Federal and State laws.

Inspects pharmacy inventory to assure that drugs are maintained according to policy and procedures.

Provides guidance and training to pharmacy techs and other staff during course of work and monitors performance.

Follows policies, procedures, and utilizes continuous quality improvement strategies and techniques to assure optimal efficiency and effectiveness of pharmacy operations.

Maintain proper records, inventory and security on all scheduled drugs (i.e., controlled substances-narcotics)

Maintain a clean, neat work area, including work counters, shelves, floors and the customer counter to present a professional, sanitary, organized image to customers.

Maintain all equipment (e.g., computers, printers, accuracy scanners and cash registers) to ensure it remains in working condition.

Qualifications:
The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:

MSPharm or PharmD from a program approved through the Council for Pharmacy Education

Current pharmacist licensure in Oregon.

2 years’ experience in a retail pharmacy, 340B preferred.

Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.

Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and communicate effectively with customers and other staff members.
